What Are Swiss Government Bonds — the mechanics

Switzerland issues relatively little debt compared with larger peers. The stock is high quality and sometimes scarce. Yields can sit near zero even when other G10 curves are at 3–4%.

Eidgenössische Bonds are CHF obligations of the Swiss Confederation. They are scarce relative to Treasuries or bunds. The bid can vanish on a small off-the-run line.

Yields are often tiny. People still buy them for CHF credit, regulation, and the currency, not for a coupon lifestyle.

We do not pretend to have a live Swiss 10-year JSON print on the board yet. Swiss rows stay snapshot-labelled until an official feed is wired.

Official sources (Switzerland)

Primary statistics and prospectuses for Switzerland are published by the issuer, not by this newsroom. The labelled links at the end of this page go to those official sites (DMO, TreasuryDirect, Finanzagentur, MEF, AFT, SNB or ECB as relevant).

Our live board is a teaching overlay: dated prints, named sources, estimated ISIN lines. It is not a replacement for the issuer’s calendar.

Клучни заклучоци

  • Eidgenössische Bonds are CHF obligations of the Swiss Confederation.
  • Prices and yields change. When this site quotes them, it dates them on the live board.
  • Credit of a G7 government in its own currency is not the same as a stable screen price, and not the same as a bank deposit.
